What You Can Do with Maicos

Your AI Chief of Staff and team help you manage work, life, and collaboration in one place. Here’s how to make the most of it.

Chat with Your AI Chief of Staff

From Home or inside any Area or Task, you can talk to your AI Chief of Staff (COS) in natural language. Ask questions, give instructions, create tasks, or request summaries. The AI has full context of where you are (e.g. Work → Project X) and can coordinate with other AI Staff across your life areas.

  • Use @mentions to tag teammates or other AI agents in chat.
  • Use #hashtags to label topics (e.g. #bug, #priority) and find them later.
  • Attach files, share calendar events, or add contact cards to keep everything in context.

Areas and Tasks

Your life is organized in a hierarchy: Areas (e.g. Work, Family, Health, Hobbies) contain Tasks, and Tasks can contain sub-areas or sub-tasks. Everything you do in a Task—chat, files, apps—is scoped to that context, and your AI Staff use this structure to give relevant, focused help.

  • Areas: High-level buckets (Work, Family, Health, Hobbies). Create and rename them from the sidebar or Home.
  • Tasks: Projects or teams inside an Area. Create tasks to keep conversations and files organized by project.
  • Switch between areas and tasks from the sidebar; the AI and chat always know which context you’re in.

Your AI Staff and MAI Agents

Your Chief of AI Staff (CoS) coordinates a team of AI Staff—one per area (Work, Family, Health, Hobbies) for your internal needs. When communicating with consumers or external people, enterprises deploy MAI Agents. They share context, can hand off to each other, and work proactively (e.g. reminding you of appointments or suggesting next steps). You can talk to the CoS from Home for a global view, or work inside an area so the relevant AI Staff is in focus.

  • Ask the CoS to create tasks, summarize threads, or route requests to the right area.
  • AI Staff and MAI Agents can suggest actions, surface conflicts, and coordinate with other users when you collaborate.

Apps and Files

Inside a Task you can open MAI Docs, MAI Sheets, MAI Forms, MAI Tasks, and other apps. They’re tied to that context so your AI Staff or MAI Agents can reference and edit content. Upload and attach files in chat or in the Files tab; the AI can summarize or answer questions about them when you refer to the file in conversation.

  • MAI Docs / Sheets / Slides: Create and edit documents with AI assistance.
  • MAI Forms: Build forms and collect responses; view results in the same task.
  • MAI Tasks: Track to-dos and let the AI suggest or assign items.
  • Use the Files tab to browse, upload, and manage files for the current area or task.

Calendar and Reminders

Connect your calendar to see events in Maicos and get reminders. You can create events from chat, share event invites in taskspaces, and let the AI suggest scheduling based on your availability and priorities.

Teams and Enterprise

On Enterprise plans, you work in a shared workspace with roles (admin, member). Admins can invite members, manage billing, and assign per-user tiers. Chat supports @mentions and group conversations so teams can coordinate in context. Notifications and mentions keep everyone in the loop.
