Registration & Workspaces

How to create a personal account, set up an enterprise workspace, or join an existing one.

Register as an individual

Use this option for a personal account or when you plan to join an existing workspace (e.g. after being invited by your company). You will need a registration code; get one from Maicos or your organization.

  1. Go to Register (from the app login page, click “Don’t have an account? Register”).
  2. Choose Individual — “Personal account or joining an existing workspace.”
  3. Enter your registration code, then your email and other details (language, country).
  4. Verify your email: you’ll receive a one-time code (OTP) and enter it on the next step.
  5. Enter your name and password, and choose a personal handle (slug). This is your unique Maicos identifier and cannot be changed later.
  6. Submit. You’ll be signed in and can use Maicos. If someone invites you to an enterprise workspace later, you can accept the invite from notifications or your email.

You can also sign up with Google after entering the registration code; the same Individual flow applies, and you’ll set your personal handle after Google redirects back.

Create an enterprise namespace

Use this when you want to create a new organization workspace (not join an existing one). A work email is required (e.g. you@company.com); personal domains like Gmail or Outlook are not accepted for enterprise creation.

During registration

  1. On the Register page, choose Create company workspace.
  2. Enter your registration code and your work email (e.g. you@company.com).
  3. Verify your email with the OTP sent to that address.
  4. Enter your name, password, a personal handle (for you), and then company name and workspace URL (slug). The workspace URL is the unique address for your organization (e.g. acme for maicos.ai/acme).
  5. Submit. Your account and enterprise workspace are created; you’re the admin and can invite members from Workspace settings.

After you already have an account

If you’re already signed in and want to create another enterprise workspace: open the workspace switcher (or go to Profile / workspaces), choose Create new enterprise workspace. You’ll be asked to verify a work email (if not already verified), then enter company name and workspace URL. Once created, you can switch to it and invite team members.

Join an enterprise namespace

You join an enterprise when an admin of that workspace invites you by email. You do not need to “create” the workspace yourself.

  1. Get invited: An admin goes to Workspace settings, opens the members/invites section, and sends an invite to your email address (with a role such as member or admin).
  2. Receive the invite: You get a notification in Maicos (if you already have an account and are signed in) and/or an email with a link or instructions.
  3. If you don’t have an account yet: Register as an Individual (see above) using your invited email and a registration code. After signing in, open the notification or the invite link and Accept the invite. You’ll then see that workspace in your switcher.
  4. If you already have an account: Sign in, then open the notification (bell icon) or the invite link and click Accept. The workspace is added to your list; switch to it from the sidebar or workspace switcher.

After joining, you can set a workspace-specific display name and email in Profile when that workspace is selected. Admins can manage your role and plan tier from Workspace settings.
